Stem grants
Over the past few years, the Foundation has awarded several grants to Homewood’s award-winning Engineering Through Robotics program. The program began in the Middle School, and our earliest grants helped provide supplies and tools to the program. Our grants have helped extend the program to the High School, as well as all three elementary schools through the LEAD program. The results of the Engineering Through Robotics program have been impressive. In the 2010 BEST competition, the Middle School finished second in the state of Alabama, competing against mostly high school teams. They went on to compete in the Regional finals at Auburn University. NIFA Reporting System Use your own words in your applications. Education Grants for Nonprofits
“Some aspects of this grant, like undergraduate research, existed previously, but not many students took advantage of the programs,” said Principal Investigator and Associate Vice President of Academic Innovation Olukemi Sawyerr. “Innovative elements that will be introduced through this grant include micro-internships and a digital credentialling and badging program using the Badgr platform to digitally record the skills and competencies students obtain through their curricular and co-curricular experiences.” STEM Grants for Schools EDA’s Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (OIE) administers the STEM Talent Challenge, which is authorized under Section 30 of the Stevenson-Wydler Technology Act of 1980.
Robotics grants for high schools
